In Spite of the Odds
Acrylic, wax, graphite, foil, canvas.
92 x 153 cm // 36 x 60 in each panel
Under a naive uniform spacetime model, the odds that two randomly placed “people” in the observable universe ever even both end up on Earth at overlapping times—let alone physically meet—are on the order of 10 -128 And that still ignores practical hurdles (geography, motion, actually crossing paths). On a cosmic scale, the probability is effectively zero; any real meeting between two specific humans is a profoundly rare, “cosmic-lottery” event.
